Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Made Me Think of Other Things

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This was really hard because I have such a terrible memory, so bear with me!

1. “The Dance Thieves”, Mary E. Pearson – Driving to dinner for my sister’s 21st birthday

2. “Men and Women Are From Eden“, Mary Healy – Women’s Group

3. “The Art of Raising a Puppy”, Monks of New Skete – Visiting Sarge when he was a puppy before I brought him one

4. “Divergent”, Veronica Roth – Navy Pier since I live in the great land of Chicago

5. “The English Wife”, Lauren Willig – The Duchess movie – I hate that women had to deal with men being horndogs and then they would try to cover it up to save their husband’s reputation.

6. “The Selection”, Kiera Cass – The Bachelor

7. “Grace and Fury”, Tracy Banghart – The Selection & The Bachelor

8. “1984”, George Orwell – The Island movie

9. “The Broken Girls”, Simone St. James – The Uninvited movie – only because of the ending of both

10. “Death of a Bore”, M.C. Beaton – The writer totally reminded my of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets with Gilderoy Lockhart

    1. I definitely thought it would be more of a boring read, but the breeder recommended it and I love reading, so I thought, “What the heck?!”. Having dogs my whole life, I found it interesting that our body language can actually get the opposite message across that we want.
