When choosing my meals for this week, I was a little hesitant about this one because there was chicken in it. HelloFresh has a good quality of chicken, however, I am a weirdo about chicken. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it. For this recipe, I would advise cutting the chicken into thinner strips than the advised measurement. It’s not bad, it just would make it a little easier to eat.
I’ve noticed in a lot of the HelloFresh Asian cuisine, there is jasmine rice. I’m not complaining by any means, but I just noticed it was a repetitive ingredient. The chili flakes…beware. I sprinkled some in where advised, but I don’t think I would be able to handle much more than that. Be careful with the cashews. Literally, stay on the exact time or they will burn.
Overall, I really enjoyed this meal. While it took a while to make, it was well worth it. The flavors popped. If I’ve had orange chicken before, I don’t remember it. But, I would consider getting orange chicken over my typical chicken and broccoli because of this dish!
