Recipe: Buttered Rosemary Strip Steak
Time: 40 min
When I was younger and still living with my parents, steak and potatoes was a go to for our family. My dad is totally a steak and potatoes kind of guy! Well, I used to sneak my steak to my dogs under the table on these days. I’ve never been a fan of steak because of the fattiness of it, which I know is why most people love it and what gives steak its flavor. I can’t stand the texture of fat and would cut until the only piece left was the size of two fingers together. The only place I’ll trust now is Outback Steakhouse with my sirloins. Besides for that, I pretty much steer clear of steak. With that said, my review may be a little harsh for you carnivores out there. I was disappointed in the shape of the steak. The picture shows it being much longer instead of wider. The thinner the steak, the more I like it. I think whoever cut the steaks cut them the wrong way, though haha. The meat was a little fattier than I would have liked. However, the butter on top was to die for!
As for the potatoes, they were alright. I don’t really like eating plain potatoes since I love my butter and salt.
The salad, though…OH MY GOSH! Such an easy recipe, but so much flavor! My mouth waters just thinking about it. The dressing was fantastic and tart. Funny that this was the part I was looking forward to the least.
For those of you who are carnivores, I think you would enjoy this more than I did. Overall, this was a good meal for me.
